“Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?” (1 Corinthians 6:3). God has entrusted believers with a future role of significant spiritual authority, which should reshape how we view our present challenges. If we’re destined to exercise such responsibility in the age to come, we can walk confidently in God’s wisdom and maturity as we handle earthly matters today.

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). We should never underestimate the power of honesty and community in the process of healing and restoration. When we open up and pray for one another, we invite God’s ability to work in deep and meaningful ways.

“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath” (Ephesians 4:26). Living a successful life includes learning to deal with our feelings; while anger may occasionally arise, we mustn’t allow it to lead us into sin or linger in our hearts. God calls us to deal with our emotions quickly so that they don’t take root and disrupt our peace.

“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men” (Romans 12:18). God calls us to actively pursue peace in our relationships, taking responsibility for our part. Although we can’t control others, we can reflect His character through our commitment to harmony.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19). Difficulties, challenges, and persecutions are part of life, even for those who follow God. However, we can be confident that deliverance is certain; we can always trust in His faithfulness.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). We find our peace in Jesus—the Prince of Peace—not in the world or even in absence of trouble. His victory gives us confidence that no challenge we face is greater than His power.

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet” (Matthew 24:6). The world’s chaos shouldn’t shake our inner peace or confidence in God’s plan. Even when events seem alarming, we’re called to remain grounded and unafraid.

  • June 17

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me” (John 14:1). Jesus calls us to anchor our hearts in faith rather than fear, even when life feels fearful and uncertain. Trusting Him brings supernatural peace that steadies us beyond what we can control.

  • June 16

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair” (2 Corinthians 4:8). While we may face pressure and uncertainty, we’re never without hope or strength in Christ. God sustains us in every circumstance, ensuring that hardship doesn’t have the final say.

“Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird” (Proverbs 1:17). Godly wisdom helps us recognize traps in life before we fall into them, if we’re willing to pay attention. God’s truth exposes deception so that we aren’t overtaken by what is clearly set against us.

Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The Lord looked and was displeased that there was no justice. He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him (Isaiah 59:15, 16, NIV).

God is merciful, but He’s also just. He loves us with an infinite, unending love, and makes those who believe in Him His children, but He will also deal with evil and injustice. His Word is truth, and it will prevail.

For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed (Malachi 3:6).

Recompense and justice, as well as mercy and kindness, come from God. The world doesn’t understand God’s true nature, but as Christians, we know that He does everything out of love for us.

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).

The world sizes us up according to external appearances, but God sees into our hearts and analyzes what He finds there. We may be able to put on an act for others, but we can never fool God.

Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit’ (Acts 2:38, NKJV).

It’s no coincidence that the Bible uses the word “remission” when discussing forgiveness of sin. Not only is sin contrary to God’s Word, it’s a spiritual sickness that is as deadly to our souls as cancer is to the human body. Jesus, the Great Physician, heals the body, soul, and spirit.

In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise (Proverbs 10:19, NKJV).

Many of us may remember our mothers saying “If you can’t say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all,” but the origins of this phrase are biblical. Words are powerful; having the wisdom to know when to keep silent is pleasing to God.

Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord (Jeremiah 23:24).

When God calls us and gives us a set of instructions for our lives, it’s best for us to obey. We can learn a lesson from Jonah, who tried unsuccessfully to run from God. God’s presence is everywhere, and there’s nowhere to go to escape His love.

The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, and he who begets a wise child will delight in him (Proverbs 23:24, NKJV).

Godly parents raise their children according to God’s Word. When they succeed, their sons and daughters grow up to be righteous men and women who bring great joy to their parents. This is a blessing from God.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it (Matthew 16:25).

Jesus lost His life for our sake when He was crucified, so that our sins could be washed away and we could inherit the promise of eternal life. Considering the example we have in this, when we put Jesus first before everything else—even our own life—we receive that promise.

As for God, his way is perfect: The word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust in him (Psalm 18:30).

The Word of God has been tested and found to be true. When we need something trustworthy to rely on in our daily lives, we can trust Jesus, who is the Word in human form.
